I have taught Kindermusik with Wendy since 2007 and have now decided to move onto a new challenge of providoing an exclusive programme of my own for Somerset and Avon areas. My new classes use mainly tradional English lyrics and dances.
I have studied for many years with private vocal coaches both here in Somerset and in London prior to relocating to the South West 5 years ago. To date I have gained the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) graded exams and Trinity Guildhall International Certificates, all in vocal studies/singing and various ABRSM Music Theory and Piano Exams. I continue to pursue my own musical studies as i believe we should never stop learning and exploring knowledge.
My Philospophy for Wendy House Music is simple!Sense of Community in and around classPower of the voice to effect mood & help learning in young childrenMusic should be fun & organic for baby and adult! Not performance based but participation basedMusic and Dance is for everyone whatever your abilityUsing material that is traditional & folk rootsValue of early childhood education, your're never too young/old!Observation/bonding and building on child & parent ideas together
Coming from a musical household where my husband and I continually pursue our own muscial aspirations in music learning and performing i am in a unique position to inspire children with my passion and commitment to musical eduaction. I'm confident my energetic motivation will get not only the children but the adults singing along in no time!
These are times to treasure and savour in your child's life, so take some time out to make some musical moments with me every week in class!
I do hope you will come and try a FREE TASTER CLASS with me soon. Everyone has a voice so lets show the children how to use it! I look forward to meeting you in a class near you soon and to getting to know both you and your children.
See you soon!
Best Wishes, Wendy Steele
